City Observationist is about you!
Perhaps not you individually — but you collectively; the people who make up a society. Or to be more specific, Sydney society! As you wander about your daily routines — commute to work, go shopping, visit parks, museums, cafes, attend special events or just plain ‘hang out’ — someone, somewhere is watching you!
Not necessarily in a creepy, stalkerish kind of way. No, think of it as more of an incidental observation.
People need to belong somewhere, to identify with a group, however loosely. By their very nature people are social beings, even if only because we exist alongside one another — in a society!
City Observationist is well… an observation, of that aspect of our existence. Purely subjective, City Observationist will, each week, share observational comment on some aspect of our culture, our society; the kind of stuff that makes us who we are and contributes to our collective identity.
